FeganScott is launching an investigation into the Insight Hospital and Medical Center of Chicago (formerly Mercy Hospital) data breach that occurred between August 22, 2025 and September 11, 2025. Insight is a Chicago, Illinois-based hospital and medical center providing a wide range of healthcare services.
According to this report at hipaajournal.com, the hospital publicly disclosed that an unauthorized third party had gained access to parts of its network containing personally identifiable information.
Insight says it will provide notice to affected individuals after finishing its internal investigation.
