FeganScott is investigating claims on behalf of individuals whose personal and confidential information was compromised in a data breach recently announced by TransUnion, one of the three major credit bureaus.
According to a disclosure by TransUnion, the data breach occurred on July 28, 2025 and impacts approximately 4.4 million individuals. TransUnion has not yet confirmed what type of personal information was stolen. However, personal information may include:
- Name
- Billing addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Dates of birth
- Social Security Numbers
How do I know if I’ve been impacted?
1. You may receive an email or mail notification from TransUnion informing you of the data breach.
2. You may receive an alert from your bank, credit card company, or a credit monitoring service alerting you that your information was impacted.
3. If you have a TransUnion account, or are a TransUnion customer, and notice suspicious or fraudulent activity using your information, you may have been impacted.
