FeganScott is launching an investigation into the Tru View BSI LLC (“Tru View”) data breach that occurred on or around July 18th, 2024. Tru View is a Melville, New York-based background screening and investigations company offering background screening services, vendor screening services, and investigative services for businesses.
According to this report at claimdepot.com, the company publicly disclosed that an unauthorized third party had gained access to parts of its network containing personally identifiable information stored in the company’s systems. The breach between July 18th, 2024, and August 18th, 2024.
The company discovered the breach on March 4th, 2026, and began sending notice to affected individuals starting on April 8, 2026.
