Four UC Davis students sued the university last month over the termination of the school’s physical education program. The lawsuit, which was filed May 25 in Yolo Superior Court, alleges that the university broke contract with its students by scrapping the PE program in December and continuing to collect certain fees during the past two quarters.
The class action complaint was filed on behalf of UC Davis students Madison Butler, Bailey Johnson, Corrie O’Brien, Urvashi Mahto and other students “similarly situated,” including all UC Davis students who were enrolled in winter and spring quarters of this year and paid their student fees.
