Michael von Klemperer opens the firm’s Washington D.C. office
FeganScott is pleased to announce that Michael von Klemperer has joined the firm and will serve its class action and complex litigation practice from its newly opened Washington, D.C. office.
von Klemperer has over a decade of legal experience prosecuting high-profile and complex cases against major corporations across a range of industries. Most recently, he played a leading role in cases seeking to hold the pharmaceutical industry accountable for its central role in the opioid crisis, representing states and other government entities against opioid manufacturers, distributors, and retail pharmacies, and resulting in the recovery of over $1 billion for his clients. In addition, he has a wide range of experience in diverse practice areas including complex healthcare fraud, consumer protection, whistleblower qui tam cases, employment discrimination, antitrust, and patent infringement cases.
“We are excited for Mike to bring his deep experience prosecuting complex healthcare fraud violations on behalf of states to our firm’s arsenal of advocacy for consumer clients,” said Elizabeth Fegan, founding partner of FeganScott. “Mike’s trial and litigation experience will be a great asset to our consumer advocacy agenda.”
von Klemperer earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School and then clerked at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Since then, he has devoted his career to representing victims of corporate wrongdoing and fraud, first with a D.C. boutique and then with a major national plaintiffs’ firm.
“I’m thrilled to have joined FeganScott, a law firm that has demonstrated its dedication to vigorously protecting the interests of consumers and local governments,” said von Klemperer. “I look forward to growing our class action and complex litigation practice in D.C. and expanding the firm’s impact on behalf of its clients.”
